Empowering Women to Thrive Through Every Stage of Health and Wellness
What we do
Kizen Community Wellness supports black and racialized women across the GTA with practical, wrap-around services. We run accessible health programs like gentle fitness, stress management, and nutrition basics, and we host health workshops led by clinicians and community partners. We connect women to counselling and mental-health resources, and coordinate referrals to shelters and safe housing supports when needed. We also offer career development, resume help, interview prep, and job-readiness sessions, so women can build stability while caring for their physical and mental well-being.
Mission
We help women access welcoming, culturally aware wellness services. Our focus areas are movement, mental health, and social connection. We partner with local clinics, shelters, and community centres to reduce barriers to care for women.
Vision
Kizen Community Wellness envisions a space where every woman has timely, culturally aware care and the resources to thrive. We see neighbourhoods with safe spaces for healing, easy pathways to counselling and shelter, and affordable programs that strengthen mind and body, alongside local, judgment-free support and real career opportunities at every stage of life.
Values
Equity
We focus resources where gaps are widest. We reduce cost, language, and location barriers.
Compassion
We meet women where they are. Care is trauma-informed and judgment-free.
Collaboration
We work side by side with shelters, clinics, faith groups, recreation centres, and employment agencies to reduce barriers and avoid duplication.
Accountability
We keep our word to the women we serve and to our partners. We set clear goals, share results, and fix problems quickly.
